This manuscript is under development and is being co-edited with Dr Bruce Collette, an award-winning zoologist at the Smithsonian. The book will feature unpublished ethnographic accounts on Arctic fishes that were reported by the Smithsonian naturalist, Lucien M. Turner between 1882 and 1884. His writing’s on the fishes of the region represent the earliest-known records on the subject. The book will also feature information on fish that I have obtained directly from Inuit elders through interviews conducted in Arctic Canada.
